I fell in love with Detroit in 2018, and in a lot of ways, I think this city saved me. When I moved here in 2020, I started sharing my life on TikTok, and by the next morning, I had 15,000 new followers.
Since then, I’ve built a community of over 55,000 people who connect with my way of capturing the everyday—highlighting the character of the city, its people, and the details that make it feel alive.
Through my content, I’ve had the opportunity to collaborate with brands like Forbes, Pepsi, Tim Hortons, the Detroit Pistons, Detroit Lions, and Soho House, but my focus has always been on storytelling—whether through video, photography, or writing.
Before stepping into content creation full-time, I worked as a Senior Communications Strategist for Dan Gilbert’s portfolio of companies, shaping digital storytelling for brands like Rocket Mortgage, Bedrock, StockX, and the Cleveland Cavaliers. My experience in brand strategy and digital media gave me a strong foundation in how to create content that connects.
Beyond visuals, writing has always been a major part of how I tell stories. I have a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism, and I see this blog as an extension of my content—a space to share thoughts, experiences, and observations, whether I’m in Detroit or traveling somewhere new.
In addition to running my personal brand, @annarobbxo, I work as a social media consultant and manager for businesses across Detroit, helping them build an authentic and engaging online presence.
